Rates & Insurance
Rates

- $200 - 53+ minute session
- $160 - 45 to 50-minute session
Interactive Complexity *Working with small children requires extra training and complexity so these sessions have an additional Interactive Complexity fee of $25 per session. Most insurances cover a portion of this, and copays stay the same. If you have coinsurance, you will see your coinsurance go up a percentage based on what your insurance allows.
Screenings **At intake, to better determine diagnosis and level of distress we administer screenings for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and dissociation-if appropriate. There is a $15 charge per screening with on more than three screenings to be charged at intake. This is usually covered by insurance and copay does not change. For adults only- we also administer any appropriate screenings every three months to track your progress. With coinsurance, your cost per session may increase by a few dollars.
Please refer to your insurance provider if you have any questions about your coverage.

Out of network Benefits
For other insurance companies we are currently (or in the next year will be considered) an out-of-network provider. However, many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to find out more information about using your out-of-network benefits.
As a courtesy, we can bill your insurance if you like for your out-of-network benefits and charge you the remainder of the balance.
We work with Rebecca Steeno owner of Scarlet Rose Billing to process your payments. Her contact info is billing@counselingnewperspectives.com or you can call or text her directly at 509-394-4874. She has signed a BAA agreement, and your information is protected.
If you prefer we can also give you a superbill and you can use services like Reimbursify Reimbursify: Simplify Out-of-Network Health Insurance Claims) to submit your superbill to your insurance or contact your insurance company directly for instructions about how to get reimbursed.
Cash Pay
We also offer a cash pay option. Clients who pay with cash on the same day will not be charged extra for interactive complexity or behavioral assessments.
Benefits of using Cash Pay Only Option
Keeping your or your child’s mental health history confidential from health insurances. Health insurance plans may take ownership of your records at any time, including therapy notes, and share them with other providers on your plan or to determine your access to continued sessions. They also regularly require mental health providers to collect health information about patients that is outside the scope of therapy.
Receiving treatment without getting a diagnosis. This may be important to you because some employers are allowed to consider past psychiatric history, such as the military, law enforcement, pilots, political office, etc. Life insurances and disability insurances also consider past psychiatric history.
Payment
We accept cash, check, HSA, and all major credit cards as forms of payment. Fees are due at the time of service.
Good Faith Estimates
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel without 24-hour notice, there is a $80 fee for the session.
